Purple Hybrid mattress offers the same Purple feel as its predecessor, but is more durable and supports your body. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattresses are made by the same company who created Hyper-Elastic polymer and the original Purple mattress. In fact, Purple offers three different hybrid beds, appropriately named the Purple Hybrid , and the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 and 4 . Below I will discuss the reasons you might choose one over another and whether they are worth the price. Stick around to find out if a Purple Hybrid mattress is the right choice for you.
Purple Hybrid, also known by the Purple 2, measures 11 inches in thickness. It is also more firm than the other models, making it ideal for stomach or back sleepers. It’s also the most economical Purple Hybrid mattress.
The Purple Hybrid Premier is 12 inches thick and has a thicker Hyper Elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes it feel a touch softer and it is around a medium-firm. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier 4 Purple Hybrid bed is the most costly, but it is thicker than all Purple hybrid beds and provides extra support. It is similar to the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 in that it has a medium-firm profile. We think it would be suitable for most body types.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
The Purple Hybrid incorporates purple detailing throughout the bed, a great touch for an avid lover of the color. Its premium appearance is due to the high-quality cover. The most important thing people want to learn about this mattress is how it feels.
It’s quite different than the innerspring mattress in Grandma’s guest room, and I will tell you that. It’s an innovative concept for a mattress that I think worked in the company’s favor. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness and feel
Purple Hybrid beds are soft, airy and don’t feel like foam no matter what model they come in. Feel the squishy, squared shapes underneath the mattress by running your fingers along its center.
It isn’t noticeable when you lie down. Instead, you feel buoyant and like you are floating on your back or in a hammock. However, the thick layer made of pocketed coils makes it extremely supportive.
Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously relieves pressure and supports, but has a slightly firmer profile. This Purple Hybrid 2 is around a medium-firm or 7 out 10 on my firmness scale. The soft squares don’t push into your hips and shoulders when you’re on your side like your typical firm bed, but my back and spine feel very reinforced above the bed’s Hyper-Elastic Polymer layer. I find it a little firmer than my Original Purple mattress.
You might be interested in the Purple Hybrid, but aren’t ready to try out new bedding options. But if you’re open to a mattress feel that takes pressure off your hips, shoulders and back while simultaneously making you feel weightless, you might be pleased with its benefits. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier
The brand’s two hybrid beds at the top of the range have the same Purple feel. However they are slightly more softened by thicker layers hyper elastic polymer.
Both of them fall in the middle to mid-firm range, or roughly a 6 on our firmness scale. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress construction
The Purple Hybrid is four layers thick and around 11 inches tall. Below is a breakdown of each layer of the Purple Hybrid bed. This will give you an idea about what makes Purple and Purple.
A thin layer of basic foam, about one-inch thick, that supports the thick pocketed coil layers above.
To limit motion transfer, the mattress features a thick system of 7.5-inch pocketsed coils that are individually wrapped with fabric. This is the reason this mattress is so supportive.
A thin layer of foam about a quarter inch thick to neutralize the effect of the mattress’s foundation.
The brand’s Hyper-Elastic Polymer is approximately 2 inches thick, laid out in a grid pattern. This is the main layer that differentiates it from the Purple Hybrid mattress. Each mattress has a different thickness. It provides most of Purple’s comfort.
Dense foam slabs surround the edges to give the sides a more solid and stable feel.
Purple’s StretchMax Cover is on the top. It’s very stretchy, just as its name suggests. It feels more breathable than traditional mattress covers. I compare it to an athletic antisweat top rather than a soft cotton one. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
The two Purple Hybrid Premier beds are the top-tier mattress options from the brand. The only difference in construction is the top layers.
Purple 3 has a layer 3 in. of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at top; Purple 4 has 4 in.
Although they feel the same, it does not make a big difference in their feel. Try Out Purple Mattress
Motion isolation isn’t usually an innerspring bed’s forte, but with the pocketed coils and special material you find in the Purple Hybrid, it’s a different story.
I think it’s pretty good at isolating motion, even if it is a super-bouncy bed.
It virtually makes no noise, and you’ll hardly be able to notice your partner moving around on the other side. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattresses include firm foam on the edges. If you are prone to slipping during the night, the Purple Hybrid will keep you more secure.
So, I give this mattress the enthusiastic thumbs up for edge support.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid does not have any fancy cooling materials. Its natural, breathable design means that it is one of the best mattresses available for allowing airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat like memory or poly foam, which makes it more appealing for hot sleepers like myself who need additional cooling. Purple is not cold but it does not feel hot. Try Out Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid’s ideal positions for sleeping and body types
You wouldn’t be able to wear every shirt in your favorite clothing store. The same goes for mattresses.
This is especially true since there are so numerous options. Generally, your perfect mattress comes down to your body type and your favorite position to sleep in. Try Out Purple Mattress
There are three main sleeping positions: side, stomach or back. Purple Hybrids are best for stomach and back sleeping.
If you’re a side-sleeper and really want the Purple Hybrid I’d recommend one of the Purple Premier beds. They are a little more soft and pressure-relieving that the standard hybrid model, which will make them more beneficial for your sides and shoulders. Try Out Purple Mattress
Type of body
Regardless of your body type, whether you weigh 105 pounds or 250 pounds, I think the Purple Hybrid beds will be perfectly suitable for you.
Purple Hybrid beds are better for all types of bodies than regular foam beds like Casper, Nectar and Casper. The bottom layer is made of steel coils with pockets. Steel is more durable than foam. The difference in how this mattress will hold up over time compared to an all-foam bed will be especially noticeable over the course of 10 years. Try Out Purple Mattress
The Purple Hybrid is more costly than the original Purple and may not be the best choice for those looking to spend as low as possible on a bed. The Purple Hybrid is a good choice if your goal is to invest in your evening’s sleep.
Purple Hybrid mattresses are available from twin XL up to California king. Prices start at $1299 and go up until $1,899. They don’t usually run discounts for this bed, but they may have a promotion going for free sheets or pillows with your purchase.
Purple Hybrid mattress features metal coils wrapped in foam to provide support and softness.
