Purple Hybrid Mattress delivers the same Purple feel with a stronger and more supportive construction. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrid mattresses are made by the same company who created Hyper-Elastic polymer and the original Purple mattress. Purple offers three kinds of hybrid beds. The Purple Hybrid, Purple Hybrid Premier 3/3 and Purple Hybrid Premier 4 are the appropriate names. Below I will discuss the reasons you might choose one over another and whether they are worth the price. Find out if a Purple Hybrid Mattress is right for you.
Purple Hybrid is also known as Purple 2 and is 11 inches thick. It’s firmer than the other models and is suitable for stomach and back sleepers. It’s also one of the most affordable Purple Hybrid mattresses.
The Purple Hybrid Premier is 12 inches thick and has a thicker Hyper Elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes it feel slightly softer, and it lands at a medium-firm to medium-firm level on the scale. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrid Premier 4 Purple Hybrid hybrid bed is the most expensive, but it is 13 inches thicker and more supportive than the others. It has a medium-firm profile and would be suitable for all body types, just like the Purple Hybrid Premier 3.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
Purple Hybrids include purple details throughout the bed. This is a wonderful addition for anyone who loves the color. It’s more luxurious than the Purple Hybrid mattress, thanks to the premium cover. The most important thing people want to learn about this mattress is how it feels.
It’s totally different from the innerspring mattress in Grandma’s guest room. This is a novel concept for a bed, and I believe it worked in the company’s favor. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness and feel
Purple Hybrid mattresses, regardless of which model you buy, are soft and airy. They don’t feel like foam. The purple squares can be felt under your fingertips if you move your hand along the mattress’s center.
It’s barely noticeable when you lie down. It just feels buoyant, like you’re floating in your hammock or on top of your head. However, the thick layer made of pocketed coils makes it extremely supportive.
The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels pressure-relieving and supportive, while maintaining a slightly firmer profile; I think it’s around a medium-firm, or 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. Although the soft squares won’t press into your hips or shoulders when you lie on your back, my spine and back feel reinforced by the Hyper-Elastic Polymer layer. I think it’s a tad bit firmer than the Original Purple mattress.
You might be interested in the Purple Hybrid, but aren’t ready to try out new bedding options. You might be happy with the benefits of the Purple Hybrid if you are open-minded to a mattress feeling that reduces pressure on your hips and shoulders while making you feel lighter. Purple Hybrid Premier
The brand’s two top-level hybrid beds share the same Purple feel but have a slightly softer profile due to their thicker Hyper-Elastic polymer layers.
I think they both land in between a medium to medium-firm, or around a 6 on the firmness scale. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrid mattress construction
The Purple Hybrid has four layers and is approximately 11 inches high. Let’s take a look at the layers of this bed to get an idea of how Purple and Purple are made.
A thin layer of basic foam, about one-inch thick, that supports the thick pocketed coil layers above.
The mattress has a thick system made of 7.5-inch pockets coils. Each coil is individually wrapped in fabric to reduce motion transfer. It’s the main reason why this mattress is so supportive.
A thin layer of foam about a quarter inch thick to neutralize the effect of the mattress’s foundation.
2 inches of Hyper-Elastic Pomer from the brand, laid out in grid formation. This is the main layer which distinguishes it the Purple Hybrid mattresses. Every mattress has a different thickness. It provides most of Purple’s comfort.
To give the sides more support and stability, dense foam slabs are placed around the edges.
Purple’s StretchMax (or Extra-Stretchy) cover can be found on the top. It feels more breathable than traditional mattress covers. I compare it to an athletic antisweat top rather than a soft cotton one. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
The brand’s top-tier mattresses are the Purple Hybrid Premier and Purple Hybrid Premier. The top layers are what really make the difference in construction.
Purple 3 has a layer 3 in. of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at top; Purple 4 has 4 in.
They are slightly softer than the Purple Hybrid, although it doesn’t make much difference in feel. The Purple Mattress Protector
Motion isolation isn’t something innerspring beds are good at. But with the Purple Hybrid’s pocketsed coils as well as the special material inside, it’s an entirely different story.
It seems to be quite capable of isolating motion, even though it is very bouncy.
It almost makes no sound, so you’ll barely be able notice your partner’s movements on the other. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrid mattresses feature firm foam around the edges. This is to prevent you from slipping on the edges of the mattress.
This mattress has edge support capabilities that I am happy to give two thumbs up.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid is not made with any cooling material. Instead, its natural, breathable design makes it one the best mattresses for allowing airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat as memory foam and poly foam might. This makes it attractive to hot sleepers such as me, who require additional cooling. The Purple is not cold to my skin, but it doesn’t make me feel hot. The Purple Mattress Protector
Purple Hybrids’ ideal sleeping positions & body types
You wouldn’t be able to wear every shirt in your favorite clothing store. The same goes for mattresses.
You have so many options. Generally, your perfect mattress comes down to your body type and your favorite position to sleep in. The Purple Mattress Protector
You can sleep in one of three primary positions: stomach, side, back or any combination. The Purple Hybrid is best for stomach and back sleepers.
If you are a side sleeper, the Purple Hybrid mattress would be a good choice. These mattresses are slightly softer and less pressure-relieving than standard hybrid models, which will benefit your shoulders and sides more. The Purple Mattress Protector
Type of body
The Purple Hybrid beds are perfect for anyone, regardless of their body type.
Purple Hybrid mattress are great for anyone, as they provide more support than standard foam beds like Casper and Nectar. They have that layer of steel pocketed coils on the bottom, and if you think about it, steel is much more durable than foam. Over the next 10 years, you will see a significant difference in how this mattress holds up to time compared with an all-foam mattress. The Purple Mattress Protector
The Purple Hybrid costs more than the original Purple. It isn’t the best option for people trying to save as much money as possible when buying a new bed. If you’re looking for a way to improve your night’s rest, however, you might consider it a reasonable price.
Purple Hybrid mattresses come in sizes from twin-XL to California-king. Prices start from $1,299 and can go all the way to $1.899. Although they don’t often offer discounts on this bed, they might have a promotion that includes free sheets and pillows.
The Purple Hybrid mattress has metal coils encased in foam to offer support and softness.
