Purple Hybrid Mattress delivers the same Purple feel with a stronger and more supportive construction. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattresses come from the same company that made Hyper-Elastic Pomer and the original Purple bed. Purple actually has three types of hybrid beds. They are appropriately named the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 or 4 and the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 or 4. Below, I will explore the various reasons you may choose one over the others and whether the cost is worth it. Stick around to find out if a Purple Hybrid mattress is the right choice for you.
Purple Hybrid, also known by the Purple 2, measures 11 inches in thickness. It’s firmer than the other models and is suitable for stomach and back sleepers. It’s also one of the most affordable Purple Hybrid mattresses.
The Purple Hybrid Premier, formerly known as Purple 3, is 12 inches thick with a thicker Hyper-Elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes the Purple Hybrid Premier feel a bit more soft and places it around a medium to moderate-firm scale. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier 4 Purple Hybrid bed is the most costly, but it is thicker than all Purple hybrid beds and provides extra support. It is similar to the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 in that it has a medium-firm profile. We think it would be suitable for most body types.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
Purple Hybrid beds have purple details, which is great for those who love the color. Its premium appearance is due to the high-quality cover. What does the Purple mattress feel like?
It’s quite different than the innerspring mattress in Grandma’s guest room, and I will tell you that. This is a novel concept for a bed, and I believe it worked in the company’s favor. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness/feel
No matter which model you choose, Purple Hybrid mattresses feel soft and airy but not like foam. The purple squares can be felt under your fingertips if you move your hand along the mattress’s center.
It’s not super noticeable when you’re laying down, it just feels buoyant like you’re floating on your back or laying on a hammock. The thick layer of pocketsed coils underneath makes it very supportive.
The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels pressure-relieving and supportive, while maintaining a slightly firmer profile; I think it’s around a medium-firm, or 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. While the soft squares aren’t pushed into your hips or shoulders if you lie sideways, they don’t feel like a typical firm mattress. However, my back and spine feel reinforced by the Hyper Elastic Polymer layer. I like it a bit more firm than the Original Purple.
If you’re curious about the Purple Hybrid but you aren’t willing to explore unconventional ways of bedding, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you’re open to a mattress feel that takes pressure off your hips, shoulders and back while simultaneously making you feel weightless, you might be pleased with its benefits. Purple Hybrid Premier
The brand’s two hybrid beds at the top of the range have the same Purple feel. However they are slightly more softened by thicker layers hyper elastic polymer.
They are between medium and medium-firm. I would say they’re about 6 on the firmness spectrum. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress construction
The Purple Hybrid has 4 layers and measures around 11 inches high. Let’s take a look at the layers of this bed to get an idea of how Purple and Purple are made.
A thin slab of basic foam about an inch thick, which supports the thick pocketed coil layer above.
To limit motion transfer, the mattress features a thick system of 7.5-inch pocketsed coils that are individually wrapped with fabric. It’s what makes this mattress so supportive.
To neutralize the feeling of the coils within the foundation of the bed, add a thin 1/2 inch of foam.
The Hyper-Elastic polymer of the brand is 2 inches thick. It’s laid out in a grid structure. This is the main layer that differentiates it from the Purple Hybrid mattress. Each mattress has a different thickness. It is soft, bouncy, and provides the most comfort of the Purple.
To give the sides more support and stability, dense foam slabs are placed around the edges.
Purple’s StretchMax (or Extra-Stretchy) cover can be found on the top. It feels more breathable than traditional mattress covers. I compare it to an athletic antisweat top rather than a soft cotton one. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
The brand’s top-tier mattresses are the Purple Hybrid Premier and Purple Hybrid Premier. The top layers of construction are the only significant differences.
The Purple 3 has a 3-inch layer of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at the top, while Purple 4 has 4 inches.
Although they feel the same, it does not make a big difference in their feel. Test Purple Mattress
Motion isolation isn’t something innerspring beds are good at. But with the Purple Hybrid’s pocketsed coils as well as the special material inside, it’s an entirely different story.
I believe it’s quite effective at isolating motion even though it’s a super-bouncy mattress.
It almost makes no sound, so you’ll barely be able notice your partner’s movements on the other. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress are made with firm foam around edges to keep your body upright if you find yourself slipping towards the side of bed at night.
As a result, I give edge support capabilities on this mattress two enthusiastic thumbs up.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid has a natural breathable structure that allows for airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat like memory or poly foam, which makes it more appealing for hot sleepers like myself who need additional cooling. Purple isn’t cold to the touch but I don’t feel hot sleeping on it. Test Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid’s ideal sleeping positions and body types
You wouldn’t be able to wear every shirt in your favorite clothing store. The same goes for mattresses.
You have so many options. The best mattress for you will depend on your body type and the position that you prefer to sleep in. Test Purple Mattress
There are three main sleeping positions: side, stomach or back. I think the Purple Hybrid will work best for back and stomach sleepers.
If you’re a side-sleeper and really want the Purple Hybrid I’d recommend one of the Purple Premier beds. They are slightly more comfortable and relieve pressure than the standard hybrid mattress, which will be a plus for your shoulders. Test Purple Mattress
Type of body
The Purple Hybrid beds can be used regardless of body weight, so no matter what size you are, they will fit you perfectly.
Purple Hybrid mattress are great for anyone, as they provide more support than standard foam beds like Casper and Nectar. They have that layer of steel pocketed coils on the bottom, and if you think about it, steel is much more durable than foam. The difference in how this mattress will hold up over time compared to an all-foam bed will be especially noticeable over the course of 10 years. Test Purple Mattress
The Purple Hybrid bed is more expensive than the original Purple. This is not a good option for those who want to spend as little money as possible on a new mattress. If you’re looking for a way to improve your night’s rest, however, you might consider it a reasonable price.
Purple Hybrid mattresses are available from twin XL up to California king. Prices start at $1299 and go up to $1899. The bed is not usually discounted, but there may be a promotion for free sheets or pillows.
The Purple Hybrid mattress has metal coils encased in foam to offer support and softness.
