Purple Hybrid Mattress delivers the same Purple feel with a stronger and more supportive construction. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattresses come from the same company that made Hyper-Elastic Pomer and the original Purple bed. Purple offers three kinds of hybrid beds. The Purple Hybrid, Purple Hybrid Premier 3/3 and Purple Hybrid Premier 4 are the appropriate names. Below, I will explore the various reasons you may choose one over the others and whether the cost is worth it. You will find out if Purple Hybrid mattresses are right for you.
Purple Hybrid, also called the Purple 2, is the thinnest hybrid option and measures in at 11 inches. It is also firmer and more suitable for stomach, back, or stomach sleepers than the two other models. It’s also the most economical Purple Hybrid mattress.
The Purple Hybrid Premier (formerly Purple 3) is 12 inches in thickness with a thicker Hyper elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes it feel a bit softer and lands around a medium to medium-firm on the scale. Queen Size Purple Mattress
The Purple Hybrid Premier 4 is the most expensive of the Purple hybrid beds, but it’s a whopping 13 inches thick and is extra supportive. Like the Purple Hybrid Premier 3, it has a medium to medium-firm profile, and we think it would suit all body types.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
Purple Hybrid beds have purple details, which is great for those who love the color. The cover has premium details that give it a more luxurious look than the Purple flagship mattress. What does the Purple mattress feel like?
It’s certainly not the same innerspring mattress that Grandma used in her guest room. This bed is an entirely new concept that I believe worked well for the company. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness & Feel
Purple Hybrid mattresses, regardless of which model you buy, are soft and airy. They don’t feel like foam. You can feel the soft, squishy corners of the mattress bend and transform underneath if you place your hand on the middle.
It isn’t noticeable when you lie down. Instead, you feel buoyant and like you are floating on your back or in a hammock. Though, it’s also really supportive because of the thick layer of pocketed coils, which I’ll explain more below.
Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously relieves pressure and supports, but has a slightly firmer profile. This Purple Hybrid 2 is around a medium-firm or 7 out 10 on my firmness scale. The soft squares of the Purple Hybrid 2 don’t push against your hips and shoulders like a regular firm bed. However, I feel my back and spine are reinforced by Hyper-ElasticPolymer. I like it a bit more firm than the Original Purple.
If you aren’t open to exploring new ways of bedding but are curious about the Purple Hybrid then you may want to consider other options. But if you’re open to a mattress feel that takes pressure off your hips, shoulders and back while simultaneously making you feel weightless, you might be pleased with its benefits. Purple Hybrid Premier
Although they share the brand’s signature Purple feel, the two higher-level hybrid beds are slightly different because they contain thicker layers Hyper-Elastic Polymer.
They both fall between medium to medium-firm or about a 6 on my firmness scale. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress construction
The Purple Hybrid’s four layers are approximately 11 inches in height and has four layers. Let’s take a look at the layers of this bed to get an idea of how Purple and Purple are made.
A thin slab of basic Foam about an inch in thickness, which supports the thick pocketed coil above.
A thick system containing 7.5-inch coils in pockets, each individually wrapped with fabric to prevent motion transfer. It’s what makes this mattress so supportive.
A thin layer of foam about a quarter inch thick to neutralize the effect of the mattress’s foundation.
The Hyper-Elastic polymer of the brand is 2 inches thick. It’s laid out in a grid structure. This is the primary layer that distinguishes it from the other two Purple Hybrid mattresses — each mattress has a different thickness of this layer. It provides most of Purple’s comfort.
To make the sides more stable and sturdy, dense foam slabs are surrounded by the edges.
Purple’s StretchMax “StretchMax” covers are layered on top. They are, just like their name, extra-stretchy. It is more breathable that a typical mattress cover. I liken it more to an antisweat sports undergarment rather than a soft top made of cotton. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
Purple Hybrid Premier is the brand’s highest-end mattress option. The only difference in construction is the top layers.
Purple 3 has a layer of Hyper elastic Polymer at its top that measures 3 inches, while Purple 4 has 4 inches.
While it doesn’t make a significant difference in feel, they are more soft than the Purple Hybrid. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Motion isolation isn’t something innerspring beds are good at. But with the Purple Hybrid’s pocketsed coils as well as the special material inside, it’s an entirely different story.
I think it’s pretty good at isolating motion, even if it is a super-bouncy bed.
It barely makes any noise, and it’s almost impossible to notice your partner moving on the opposite side. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid mattress are made with firm foam around edges to keep your body upright if you find yourself slipping towards the side of bed at night.
This is why I give the edge support capabilities of this mattress two thumbs up.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid doesn’t have any cooling materials, but its natural breathable design makes them one of the best mattresses to allow airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat in the same way as memory foam or Poly foam. This makes Purple a great choice for hot sleepers who need extra cooling. The Purple is not cold to my skin, but it doesn’t make me feel hot. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrid’s ideal positions for sleeping and body types
You wouldn’t expect that you would fit into every size shirt at your favorite clothes store.
There are many options. Generally, your perfect mattress comes down to your body type and your favorite position to sleep in. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Side, stomach, back, or a combination thereof are the primary sleeping positions. Purple Hybrids are best for stomach and back sleeping.
If you’re a side-sleeper and really want the Purple Hybrid I’d recommend one of the Purple Premier beds. They are slightly more comfortable and relieve pressure than the standard hybrid mattress, which will be a plus for your shoulders. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Type of body
Regardless of your body type, whether you weigh 105 pounds or 250 pounds, I think the Purple Hybrid beds will be perfectly suitable for you.
Purple Hybrid beds are better for all types of bodies than regular foam beds like Casper, Nectar and Casper. You will notice the layer of steel pocketed coils at the bottom. It is far more durable than foam. Over the next 10 years, you will see a significant difference in how this mattress holds up to time compared with an all-foam mattress. Queen Size Purple Mattress
Purple Hybrids are more expensive than original Purples. They also tend to be less affordable for those who need to spend as little as possible on a brand new bed. The Purple Hybrid is a good choice if your goal is to invest in your evening’s sleep.
The standard Purple Hybrid mattress is available in sizes from twin XL to California king. Prices start from $1,299 and can go all the way to $1.899. While they do not typically offer discounts on this mattress, they may have a promotional offer that gives you free sheets or pillows.
Purple Hybrid Mattress has metal coils enclosed in foam to offer support, softness, and durability.
