First impressions

Purple Hybrid mattress are soft and comfortable, no matter what model you purchase. You can feel the soft, squishy corners of the mattress bend and transform underneath if you place your hand on the middle.
It’s barely noticeable when you lie down. It just feels buoyant, like you’re floating in your hammock or on top of your head. However, the thick layer made of pocketed coils makes it extremely supportive.
Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously relieves pressure and supports, but has a slightly firmer profile. This Purple Hybrid 2 is around a medium-firm or 7 out 10 on my firmness scale. The Purple Hybrid comes in three different models, each with a different thickness of the Purple Grid gel layer.
The Purple Hybrid has four layers and is approximately 11 inches high. Below is a breakdown of each layer of the Purple Hybrid bed. This will give you an idea about what makes Purple and Purple.
A thin slab of basic foam about an inch thick, which supports the thick pocketed coil layer above.
To limit motion transfer, the mattress features a thick system of 7.5-inch pocketsed coils that are individually wrapped with fabric. It’s what makes this mattress so supportive.
To neutralize the feeling of the coils within the foundation of the bed, add a thin 1/2 inch of foam.
2 inches of Hyper-Elastic Pomer from the brand, laid out in grid formation. This layer is what distinguishes the Purple Hybrid mattress from the others. Each mattress’s thickness varies. It provides most of Purple’s comfort.
The dense foam slabs that surround the edges make the sides more sturdy and supportive.

Motion isolation is not something that innerspring beds are known for, but the Purple Hybrid has pocketsed coils and special material that make it possible.
It seems to be quite capable of isolating motion, even though it is very bouncy.

Temperature
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid has a natural breathable structure that allows for airflow.
