First impressions

Purple Hybrids include purple details throughout the bed. This is a wonderful addition for anyone who loves the color. It has a premium appearance thanks to the fine details on the cover. You can also tell that it is a bit heavier than the Purple flagship mattress. The main thing people want to know about this mattress is what does the Purple feel like?

Purple Hybrid mattresses, regardless of which model you buy, are soft and airy. They don’t feel like foam. The purple squares can be felt under your fingertips if you move your hand along the mattress’s center.

It isn’t noticeable when you lie down. Instead, you feel buoyant and like you are floating on your back or in a hammock. Though, it’s also really supportive because of the thick layer of pocketed coils, which I’ll explain more below.

Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously provides pressure relief and support, while also maintaining a firmer profile. I believe it to be around a medium firm, or 7 on the firmness scale. Although the soft squares won’t press into your hips or shoulders when you lie on your back, my spine and back feel reinforced by the Hyper-Elastic Polymer layer. I think it’s a tad bit firmer than the Original Purple mattress.

First impressions

Purple Hybrids include purple details throughout the bed. This is a wonderful addition for anyone who loves the color. Its premium appearance is due to the high-quality cover. The most important thing people want to learn about this mattress is how it feels.

Purple Hybrid mattress firmness & Feel

Regardless of the model you get, the Purple Hybrid mattresses are soft and airy without feeling like foam. You can feel the soft, squishy corners of the mattress bend and transform underneath if you place your hand on the middle.

It’s barely noticeable when you lie down. It just feels buoyant, like you’re floating in your hammock or on top of your head. It’s very supportive due to the thick layer pocketed coils. I’ll explain this further below.

The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels supportive and pressure-relieving, but it also has a slightly firmer profile. It’s 7/10 on the firmness scale. The soft squares of the Purple Hybrid 2 don’t push against your hips and shoulders like a regular firm bed. However, I feel my back and spine are reinforced by Hyper-ElasticPolymer. I think it’s a tad bit firmer than the Original Purple mattress.

Purple Hybrid mattress firmness/feel

Purple Hybrid beds are soft, airy and don’t feel like foam no matter what model they come in. Feel the squishy, squared shapes underneath the mattress by running your fingers along its center.

It isn’t noticeable when you lie down. Instead, you feel buoyant and like you are floating on your back or in a hammock. However, the thick layer made of pocketed coils makes it extremely supportive.
