First impressions
Purple Hybrid beds have purple details, which is great for those who love the color. It has a premium appearance thanks to the fine details on the cover. You can also tell that it is a bit heavier than the Purple flagship mattress. People want to know what the Purple feels like.

Purple Hybrid mattress firmness, feel and feel
Purple Hybrid beds are soft, airy and don’t feel like foam no matter what model they come in. When you run your hand down the center of the mattress, you can feel the squishy squares bend and morph underneath.
While it’s not obvious when you lay down, it feels like you’re floating on the back of a hammock or on your stomach. The thick layer pocketsed coils make it really supportive, which I’ll explain below.
Purple Hybrid 2 feels simultaneously supportive and pressure-relieving. However, it has a slightly firmer profile. Purple Hybrid comes as three different models. Each model has a different thickness Purple Grid gel layer.
The Purple Hybrid is four layers thick and around 11 inches tall. Let’s take a look at the layers of this bed to get an idea of how Purple and Purple are made.
A thin slab about an inch thick of basic foam that supports the thick pocketed coil layer.
The mattress has a thick system made of 7.5-inch pockets coils. Each coil is individually wrapped in fabric to reduce motion transfer. It’s the main reason why this mattress is so supportive.
To neutralize the feeling of the coils within the foundation of the bed, add a thin 1/2 inch of foam.
The Hyper-Elastic polymer of the brand is 2 inches thick. It’s laid out in a grid structure. This is the primary layer that distinguishes it from the other two Purple Hybrid mattresses — each mattress has a different thickness of this layer. It’s bouncy, squishy, soft and provides most of the Purple’s comfort.
To make the sides more stable and sturdy, dense foam slabs are surrounded by the edges.
On top is the Purple’s “StretchMax” cover, and just like the name implies, it’s extra-stretchy. It is more breathable that a typical mattress cover. I liken it more to an antisweat sports undergarment rather than a soft top made of cotton. Purple Mattress Opening

Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
The brand’s top-tier mattresses are the Purple Hybrid Premier and Purple Hybrid Premier. Only the top layers make up the main difference in construction.
Purple 3 has 3inches of Hyper Elastic Polymer at the top. Purple 4 has 4inches.

Motion isolation
Motion isolation isn’t something innerspring beds are good at. But with the Purple Hybrid’s pocketsed coils as well as the special material inside, it’s an entirely different story.
It seems to be quite capable of isolating motion, even though it is very bouncy.

Edge support
Purple Hybrid mattresses have firm foam at the edges that will hold you up if your body tends to lean towards the sides of the bed.
So, I give this mattress the enthusiastic thumbs up for edge support.
Temperature
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid does not have any fancy cooling materials. Its natural, breathable design means that it is one of the best mattresses available for allowing airflow.
