Purple Hybrid mattress firmness/feel
Purple Hybrid mattresses, regardless of which model you buy, are soft and airy. They don’t feel like foam. Feel the squishy, squared shapes underneath the mattress by running your fingers along its center.
It isn’t noticeable when you lie down. Instead, you feel buoyant and like you are floating on your back or in a hammock. The thick layer pocketsed coils make it really supportive, which I’ll explain below.
The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels pressure-relieving and supportive, while maintaining a slightly firmer profile; I think it’s around a medium-firm, or 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. The soft squares of the Purple Hybrid 2 don’t push against your hips and shoulders like a regular firm bed. However, I feel my back and spine are reinforced by Hyper-ElasticPolymer. Purple Hybrid is available in three models with different Purple Grid gel layers.
The Purple Hybrid is four layers thick and around 11 inches tall. Let’s take a look at the layers of this bed to get an idea of how Purple and Purple are made.
A thin layer of basic foam, about one-inch thick, that supports the thick pocketed coil layers above.
A thick system containing 7.5-inch coils in pockets, each individually wrapped with fabric to prevent motion transfer. It is what makes this mattress so comfortable.
A thin half an inch of foam to help neutralize the feel of the pocketed coils in the bed’s foundation.
2 inches of Hyper-Elastic Pomer from the brand, laid out in grid formation. This is the main layer which distinguishes it the Purple Hybrid mattresses. Every mattress has a different thickness. It’s soft, bouncy, and provides most Purple Hybrid’s comfort.
Dense foam slabs surround the edges to give the sides a more solid and stable feel.

Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
Two Purple Hybrid Premier mattresses are the best-selling mattress options. The top layers are what really make the difference in construction.
Purple 3 has a layer of Hyper elastic Polymer at its top that measures 3 inches, while Purple 4 has 4 inches.

Motion isolation

I think it’s pretty good at isolating motion, even if it is a super-bouncy bed.
