Purple Hybrid Mattress delivers the same Purple feel with a stronger and more supportive construction. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
The Purple Hybrid mattress is made by the same company that created Hyper-Elastic Polymer, the original Purple bed and the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 and 4. Purple actually has three types of hybrid beds. They are appropriately named the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 or 4 and the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 or 4. Below, I will explore the various reasons you may choose one over the others and whether the cost is worth it. Continue reading to learn if a Purple Hybrid is right for your needs.
Purple Hybrid, also known by the Purple 2, measures 11 inches in thickness. It is firmer than any of the other models, and it is great for stomach or back sleepers. It’s also one of the most affordable Purple Hybrid mattresses.
The Purple Hybrid Premier (formerly Purple 3) is 12 inches in thickness with a thicker Hyper elastic Polymer comfort layer. This makes it feel a touch softer and it is around a medium-firm. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
The Purple Hybrid Premier 4 is the most expensive of the Purple hybrid beds, but it’s a whopping 13 inches thick and is extra supportive. It has a medium-firm profile and would be suitable for all body types, just like the Purple Hybrid Premier 3.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
Purple Hybrids include purple details throughout the bed. This is a wonderful addition for anyone who loves the color. It has a premium appearance thanks to the fine details on the cover. You can also tell that it is a bit heavier than the Purple flagship mattress. People want to know what the Purple feels like.
It’s totally different from the innerspring mattress in Grandma’s guest room. It’s a completely new design for a bed and it ended up working in the company’s favor. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness, feel and feel
Regardless of the model you get, the Purple Hybrid mattresses are soft and airy without feeling like foam. When you run your hand down the center of the mattress, you can feel the squishy squares bend and morph underneath.
While it’s not obvious when you lay down, it feels like you’re floating on the back of a hammock or on your stomach. However, the thick layer made of pocketed coils makes it extremely supportive.
The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels pressure-relieving and supportive, while maintaining a slightly firmer profile; I think it’s around a medium-firm, or 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale. Although the soft squares won’t press into your hips or shoulders when you lie on your back, my spine and back feel reinforced by the Hyper-Elastic Polymer layer. I find it a little firmer than my Original Purple mattress.
If you aren’t open to exploring new ways of bedding but are curious about the Purple Hybrid then you may want to consider other options. It might appeal to you if the mattress feels like it is releasing pressure from your hips, shoulders, back and making you feel lighter. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Purple Hybrid Premier
The brand’s two highest-level hybrid beds feature the same Purple feel. However, they have a slightly softer profile due to thicker layers made of Hyper-Elastic Pomer.
They are between medium and medium-firm. I would say they’re about 6 on the firmness spectrum. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Purple Hybrid Mattress Construction
The Purple Hybrid measures approximately 11 inches high and has four layers. This is a quick breakdown of the layers of the Purple Hybrid to give you an idea of what makes Purple, Purple.
A thin slab of basic foam about an inch thick, which supports the thick pocketed coil layer above.
To limit motion transfer, the mattress features a thick system of 7.5-inch pocketsed coils that are individually wrapped with fabric. It’s what makes this mattress so supportive.
A thin layer of foam about a quarter inch thick to neutralize the effect of the mattress’s foundation.
The brand’s Hyper-Elastic Polymer is approximately 2 inches thick, laid out in a grid pattern. This is the primary layer that distinguishes it from the other two Purple Hybrid mattresses — each mattress has a different thickness of this layer. It provides most of Purple’s comfort.
Surrounding the edges are dense foam slabs to make the sides feel more supportive and sturdy.
Purple’s StretchMax “StretchMax” covers are layered on top. They are, just like their name, extra-stretchy. It feels more breathable than traditional mattress covers. I compare it to an athletic antisweat top rather than a soft cotton one. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
Purple Hybrid Premier is the brand’s highest-end mattress option. The top layers are what really make the difference in construction.
The Purple 3 has a 3-inch layer of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at the top, while Purple 4 has 4 inches.
They are slightly softer than the Purple Hybrid, although it doesn’t make much difference in feel. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Motion isolation is not something that innerspring beds are known for, but the Purple Hybrid has pocketsed coils and special material that make it possible.
I think it’s pretty good at isolating motion, even if it is a super-bouncy bed.
It makes almost no noise and you won’t be able to see your partner on the other side. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Purple Hybrid mattresses have firm foam at the edges that will hold you up if your body tends to lean towards the sides of the bed.
So, I give this mattress the enthusiastic thumbs up for edge support.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid has a natural breathable structure that allows for airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat like memory foam or poly foam might, making it appealing to hot sleepers like me who need the additional cooling relief. Purple isn’t cold to the touch but I don’t feel hot sleeping on it. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
Purple Hybrid’s perfect sleeping positions and body types
You wouldn’t expect to find the right size shirt at your favorite clothing shop, so don’t assume that every mattress will be accommodating.
There are many options. Generally, your perfect mattress comes down to your body type and your favorite position to sleep in. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
You can sleep in one of three primary positions: stomach, side, back or any combination. Purple Hybrid is recommended for stomach and back sleepers.
I would recommend the Purple Premier mattresses to side sleepers who really want the Purple Hybrid. These mattresses are softer than the standard hybrid model and will provide more relief for your shoulders and sides. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
No matter your body type, no matter if you are 105 lbs or 250 lbs, the Purple Hybrid Beds will suit you perfectly.
Purple Hybrid mattress are great for anyone, as they provide more support than standard foam beds like Casper and Nectar. The bottom layer is made of steel coils with pockets. Steel is more durable than foam. This mattress will last 10 years longer than an all-foam one. Purple Mattress Fiberglass
The Purple Hybrid is more expensive than the original Purple, of course, and isn’t the best for people who are trying to spend as little as they can on a new bed. The Purple Hybrid is a good choice if your goal is to invest in your evening’s sleep.
Purple Hybrid mattresses are available from twin XL up to California king. The prices start at $1,299, and can go up to $1,899. They don’t usually run discounts for this bed, but they may have a promotion going for free sheets or pillows with your purchase.
