Purple Hybrid Mattress delivers the same Purple feel with a stronger and more supportive construction. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid mattresses come from the same company that made Hyper-Elastic Pomer and the original Purple bed. Purple actually offers three hybrid beds: the Purple Hybrid and the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 & 4. Below I will explain why you might prefer one to the other and how they compare with the rest. Keep reading to discover if the Purple Hybrid mattress is right for YOU.
Purple Hybrid, also called the Purple 2, is the thinnest hybrid option and measures in at 11 inches. It is also firmer and more suitable for stomach, back, or stomach sleepers than the two other models. It’s also the most economical Purple Hybrid mattress.
The Purple Hybrid Premier formerly known under the name Purple 3 measures 12 inches thick. It has a thicker HyperElastic Polymer comfort level. This makes it feel slightly softer, and it lands at a medium-firm to medium-firm level on the scale. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid Premier 4 Purple Hybrid bed is the most costly, but it is thicker than all Purple hybrid beds and provides extra support. It’s similar to the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 and has a medium or medium-firm profile. We believe it would suit any body type.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
Purple Hybrid beds have purple details, which is great for those who love the color. The cover has premium details that give it a more luxurious look than the Purple flagship mattress. What does the Purple feel like?
It’s quite different than the innerspring mattress in Grandma’s guest room, and I will tell you that. It’s a new concept for a bed that I think ended up working in the company’s favor. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness/feel
No matter which model you choose, Purple Hybrid mattresses feel soft and airy but not like foam. You can feel the soft, squishy corners of the mattress bend and transform underneath if you place your hand on the middle.
It is not noticeable when you lay down. You just feel like you’re floating over your back or on a hammock. Though, it’s also really supportive because of the thick layer of pocketed coils, which I’ll explain more below.
The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels supportive and pressure-relieving, but it also has a slightly firmer profile. It’s 7/10 on the firmness scale. The soft squares do not press into your hips and shoulders, unlike a traditional firm bed. But my back and spine feel extremely reinforced thanks to the Hyper-Elastic polymer layer. I like it a bit more firm than the Original Purple.
The Purple Hybrid is a great option if you don’t want to experiment with other bedding styles. But if you’re open to a mattress feel that takes pressure off your hips, shoulders and back while simultaneously making you feel weightless, you might be pleased with its benefits. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid Premier
The brand’s two hybrid beds at the top of the range have the same Purple feel. However they are slightly more softened by thicker layers hyper elastic polymer.
Both of them fall in the middle to mid-firm range, or roughly a 6 on our firmness scale. Purple Mattress Cancer
Construction of Purple Hybrid mattresses
The Purple Hybrid’s four layers are approximately 11 inches in height and has four layers. Below is a breakdown of each layer of the Purple Hybrid bed. This will give you an idea about what makes Purple and Purple.
A thin slab about an inch thick of basic foam that supports the thick pocketed coil layer.
To limit motion transfer, the mattress features a thick system of 7.5-inch pocketsed coils that are individually wrapped with fabric. This is the reason this mattress is so supportive.
To neutralize the feeling of the coils within the foundation of the bed, add a thin 1/2 inch of foam.
2 inches of Hyper-Elastic Pomer from the brand, laid out in grid formation. This is the main layer which distinguishes it the Purple Hybrid mattresses. Every mattress has a different thickness. It is soft, bouncy, and provides the most comfort of the Purple.
Surrounding the edges are dense foam slabs to make the sides feel more supportive and sturdy.
On top is the Purple’s “StretchMax” cover, and just like the name implies, it’s extra-stretchy. I think it feels more breathable than your typical mattress cover and compare the feel more to an athletic antisweat undergarment than a soft cotton top. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
The Purple Hybrid Premier mattress is the highest-rated option from the brand. The top layers are what really make the difference in construction.
Purple 3 has a layer 3 in. of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at top; Purple 4 has 4 in.
It doesn’t make a huge difference in feel, but they are softer than the Purple Hybrid. Purple Mattress Cancer
Motion isolation is not a common feature of innerspring beds, but the Purple Hybrid offers a different approach with its pocketed coils.
It is quite good at isolating movement, even though it is super-bouncy.
It almost makes no sound, so you’ll barely be able notice your partner’s movements on the other. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid mattresses feature firm foam around the edges. This is to prevent you from slipping on the edges of the mattress.
So, I give this mattress the enthusiastic thumbs up for edge support.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid is not made with any cooling material. Instead, its natural, breathable design makes it one the best mattresses for allowing airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat in the same way as memory foam or Poly foam. This makes Purple a great choice for hot sleepers who need extra cooling. The Purple is not cold to my skin, but it doesn’t make me feel hot. Purple Mattress Cancer
Purple Hybrid’s perfect sleeping positions and body types
You wouldn’t expect to fit in every shirt size at your favorite clothing store, and you shouldn’t assume every mattress is accommodating for you.
Because there are so many choices, it is important to choose carefully. Your body type and preferred position are the most important factors in choosing the right mattress. Purple Mattress Cancer
There are three main sleeping positions: side, stomach or back. I think the Purple Hybrid will work best for back and stomach sleepers.
If you’re a side sleeper and really want the Purple Hybrid, I’d opt for one of the Purple Premier mattresses. They are slightly more comfortable and relieve pressure than the standard hybrid mattress, which will be a plus for your shoulders. Purple Mattress Cancer
Type of body
No matter your body type, no matter if you are 105 lbs or 250 lbs, the Purple Hybrid Beds will suit you perfectly.
Purple Hybrid mattresses can be used by all body types as they are more supportive of traditional foam beds like Casper or Nectar. They are made with steel pocketed coils that sit on top of the mattress. This makes them more durable than traditional foam beds. This mattress will last 10 years longer than an all-foam one. Purple Mattress Cancer
The Purple Hybrid bed is more expensive than the original Purple. This is not a good option for those who want to spend as little money as possible on a new mattress. You might find it reasonable if you want to invest in your nights of sleep.
Purple Hybrid mattresses are available in sizes ranging from twin XL to California King. Prices start at $1,299 and go all the way up to $1,899. While they do not typically offer discounts on this mattress, they may have a promotional offer that gives you free sheets or pillows.
The Purple Hybrid mattress has metal coils encased in foam to offer support and softness.
Purple offers shipping, trial and warranty
Every online mattress seller will try to sweeten the deal by offering a few extra perks, such as free shipping or a trial period. Purple Mattress Cancer
The bed you choose will determine the type of shipping. If you get a Purple Hybrid, you’ll get standard free shipping. Purple Hybrid Premier mattresses will receive free white-glove shipping and they’ll also set your mattress up in-home.
You’ll have a solid 100 nights to test out your bed. If you’re not satisfied after 99 nights, you can request a full reimbursement. In case of a manufacturer defect, Purple backs its mattresses with a 10-year limited warranty.
