The Purple Hybrid mattress delivers the same signature Purple feel, but with a more durable and supportive construction. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid mattresses are made by the same company who created Hyper-Elastic polymer and the original Purple mattress. In fact, Purple offers three different hybrid beds, appropriately named the Purple Hybrid , and the Purple Hybrid Premier 3 and 4 . Below, I’ll discuss the many reasons why you might want one or the other. And if the price is right for you. Keep reading to discover if the Purple Hybrid mattress is right for YOU.
Purple Hybrid (also known as the Purple 2) is the thinnest option of hybrids and measures only 11 inches thick. It is also firmer and more suitable for stomach, back, or stomach sleepers than the two other models. It’s also the most economical Purple Hybrid mattress.
The Purple Hybrid Premier, also known as Purple 3 is 12 in thick and features a thicker Hyperelastic Polymer comfort coating. This makes it feel a bit softer and lands around a medium to medium-firm on the scale. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid Premier 4 Purple Hybrid Hybrid beds are the most expensive. However, it’s 13 inches thick and extra supportive. Like the Purple Hybrid Premier 3, it has a medium to medium-firm profile, and we think it would suit all body types.
Purple Hybrid Mattress Video Review
Purple Hybrids have purple detailing all over the bed. It’s a great choice for someone who is passionate about the color. Its premium appearance is due to the high-quality cover. People want to know what the Purple feels like.
It’s quite different than the innerspring mattress in Grandma’s guest room, and I will tell you that. This is a novel concept for a bed, and I believe it worked in the company’s favor. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid mattress firmness, feel and feel
No matter which model you choose, Purple Hybrid mattresses feel soft and airy but not like foam. Feel the squishy, squared shapes underneath the mattress by running your fingers along its center.
It is not noticeable when you lay down. You just feel like you’re floating over your back or on a hammock. The thick layer pocketsed coils make it really supportive, which I’ll explain below.
The Purple Hybrid 2 simultaneously feels supportive and pressure-relieving, but it also has a slightly firmer profile. It’s 7/10 on the firmness scale. The soft squares do not press into your hips and shoulders, unlike a traditional firm bed. But my back and spine feel extremely reinforced thanks to the Hyper-Elastic polymer layer. It’s firmer than the Original Purple mattress.
If you aren’t open to exploring new ways of bedding but are curious about the Purple Hybrid then you may want to consider other options. You might be happy with the benefits of the Purple Hybrid if you are open-minded to a mattress feeling that reduces pressure on your hips and shoulders while making you feel lighter. Purple Hybrid Premier
Although they share the brand’s signature Purple feel, the two higher-level hybrid beds are slightly different because they contain thicker layers Hyper-Elastic Polymer.
They both fall between medium to medium-firm or about a 6 on my firmness scale. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid mattress construction
The Purple Hybrid has four layers and is approximately 11 inches high. Below is a breakdown of each layer of the Purple Hybrid bed. This will give you an idea about what makes Purple and Purple.
A thin slab of basic Foam about an inch in thickness, which supports the thick pocketed coil above.
The mattress has a thick system made of 7.5-inch pockets coils. Each coil is individually wrapped in fabric to reduce motion transfer. This is the reason this mattress is so supportive.
A thin half an inch of foam to help neutralize the feel of the pocketed coils in the bed’s foundation.
2 inches of Hyper-Elastic Pomer from the brand, laid out in grid formation. This is the main layer that differentiates it from the Purple Hybrid mattress. Each mattress has a different thickness. It’s bouncy, squishy, soft and provides most of the Purple’s comfort.
To give the sides more support and stability, dense foam slabs are placed around the edges.
Purple’s StretchMax “StretchMax” covers are layered on top. They are, just like their name, extra-stretchy. I think it feels more breathable than your typical mattress cover and compare the feel more to an athletic antisweat undergarment than a soft cotton top. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid Premier mattress layers
Purple Hybrid Premier is the brand’s highest-end mattress option. Really, the only major differences in construction are the top layers.
Purple 3 has a layer 3 in. of Hyper-Elastic Polymer at top; Purple 4 has 4 in.
They are slightly softer than the Purple Hybrid, although it doesn’t make much difference in feel. Purple Mattress 2
Motion isolation isn’t something innerspring beds are good at. But with the Purple Hybrid’s pocketsed coils as well as the special material inside, it’s an entirely different story.
It is quite good at isolating movement, even though it is super-bouncy.
It barely makes any noise, and it’s almost impossible to notice your partner moving on the opposite side. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid mattresses feature firm foam around the edges. This is to prevent you from slipping on the edges of the mattress.
Therefore, I give this mattress my enthusiastic thumbs-up for its edge support capabilities.
The other benefit of the Purple Grid besides bouncy comfort would have to be its temperature-regulating abilities. The Purple Grid doesn’t have any cooling materials, but its natural breathable design makes them one of the best mattresses to allow airflow.
It doesn’t retain heat as memory foam and poly foam might. This makes it attractive to hot sleepers such as me, who require additional cooling. It’s not cold to the touch, but I really don’t feel hot while sleeping on the Purple. Purple Mattress 2
Purple Hybrid’s ideal positions for sleeping and body types
You wouldn’t be able to wear every shirt in your favorite clothing store. The same goes for mattresses.
You have so many options. Generally, your perfect mattress comes down to your body type and your favorite position to sleep in. Purple Mattress 2
The primary sleeping positions are side, stomach, back or a combination of them all. Purple Hybrids will be most suitable for stomach and back sleepers.
If you are a side sleeper, the Purple Hybrid mattress would be a good choice. They are a bit softer and more pressure-relieving than the standard hybrid model, which will be more of a benefit to your sides and shoulders. Purple Mattress 2
Type of body
Regardless of your body type, whether you weigh 105 pounds or 250 pounds, I think the Purple Hybrid beds will be perfectly suitable for you.
Purple Hybrid beds are better for all types of bodies than regular foam beds like Casper, Nectar and Casper. The mattress has a layer of steel-pocketed coils in the bottom. Steel is much more durable that foam. Over the next 10 years, you will see a significant difference in how this mattress holds up to time compared with an all-foam mattress. Purple Mattress 2
The Purple Hybrid is more costly than the original Purple and may not be the best choice for those looking to spend as low as possible on a bed. If you’re looking to invest in your night’s sleep, though, it’s very possible you see it as a reasonable price.
Purple Hybrid mattresses come in sizes from twin-XL to California-king. Prices start at $1299 and go up until $1,899. While they do not typically offer discounts on this mattress, they may have a promotional offer that gives you free sheets or pillows.
Purple Hybrid mattresses have metal coils that are encased with foam for support and softness.
