What is the most suitable kind of mattress?

The simple answer is that there’s no a single best type of mattress. Why? Because everybody is different, so the right type that is right for you will depend on your body, health and your sleep style. Secondly, it’s because the differences between different types of mattress are becoming less noticeable. Mattresses have improved so significantly over the last five years alone that it’s difficult to discern any significant difference when you’re sleeping on mattresses.

This is a good thing for you as it means that you’ll be able to pick any of the options in our top mattress guide and be extremely satisfied with the mattress you choose no matter if it’s made of copper-infused memory foam coils, cooling latex, or a cutting-edge combination of all-natural materials.

However, it can be useful to know the specifics of each type of mattress before making the final decision. With that in mind this article will walk you through the main options, highlighting the key differences between each… Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Mattresses made of memory foam

It is the Nectar Memory Foam mattress has three inches of memory foam. Memory foam is a fantastic option for anyone who likes to feel ‘hugged’ by their mattress. The material conforms to your body, providing better pressure relief than springs and excels at absorbing the motion. This alone makes it a top option for those who share a bed with a restless companion (but it’s not the best choice if you prefer some bounce on your mattress, it’s best to choose an innerspring or hybrid instead).

One key feature that memory foam has is that it allows you to get sunk into it. This is what provides the superior cushioning. Similar to any mattress made of all foam this kind of material may be warmer in the night than other options. However, the top memory foam mattresses today are with cooling elements specifically designed to control your temperature during sleep. Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Innerspring mattress

Saatva’s top innerspring mattress Saatva Classic, its flagship innerspring mattress Saatva Classic, is available in three different firmness levels (Image credit: Saatva) Innerspring mattress use a coil-based support system to offer comfort and stability. The quantity, height and shape of the coils differ, and whereas traditionally, innerspring mattresses were made by interconnecting coils, today the term is increasingly used to refer to pocket spring mattresses.

They are made up of individual coils wrapped within their own pocket and are able to move independently, offering improved pressure relief, more comfort, and greater motion isolation. Generally speaking, the more pocket springs in a mattress, the better support. You can also use one of the best mattress toppers to immediately add an extra layer of comfort and support.

The main difference between all-foam mattresses and innerspring options is that they’re buoyant: you can sleep in them rather than sinking into them. This is a good thing for those who sleep hot, since it means that your body heat won’t be trapped by the mattress. Additionally, springs permit more air to circulate, unlike thick foam. In addition, they have more bounce than the all-foam alternatives and are also less expensive. Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Hybrid mattresses

Hybrids like Dreamcloud bring you the most beneficial of both worlds: you get the customized comfort of memory foam gel or latex and also enjoy the subtle bounce and increased airflow that springs provide. The coils in hybrid mattresses tend to be smaller though, and they usually (but often not) have a more slender the memory foam.

A lot of the top mattresses are hybrid. They’re a flexible option that makes a good choice for couples with differing preference for sleeping, and are ideal for hot sleepers who appreciate the cushioned feel of foam. Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Latex mattresses

Plushbeds is made of GOLS organically certified latex that comes from the co-owned farms of the company’s collectives. Latex mattresses use a super sturdy latex foam made of natural materials, rather than synthetic substances (which memory foam mattress are constructed from). If you’re in search of an organic and durable mattress, then latex is the perfect mattress material for you.

It isn’t as dense like memory foam making latex mattresses less prone to overheating. Latex is also a great choice for cushioning and bounce. In addition, the superb durability makes latex a fantastic option for those who want their mattress to last and last for a long time, but it’s not cheap! Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

How do I know the right mattress size?

The most important thing to consider when choosing the correct size mattress is to ensure it’s at least 10cm higher than the highest person who sleeps on it. If you’re sharing the bed, you and your partner must be able to place your hands on your head, without elbows touching. If you sleep alone and you’re not sharing a bed, you’ll be able to get the size mattress if you are able to place your hands underneath your head and not touch the sides of the mattress. So measure that distance and when you pick a mattress that’s wider than this, you’ll be fine.

Most of the options listed in our top mattress guide are available in twin, twin XL, full queen, king and California king sizes. There are some that come with split options too, which enable the user to select a different mattress firmness to your partner. You can also find mattresses that offer different levels of firmness for each side (soft to one, and firm to the opposite).

In general, the larger and deeper the mattress the higher the price. The majority of twin mattresses are just a few hundred dollars more than queen-sized while the king and California King sizes are typically approximately $200 more than queen size. Hybrid mattresses, luxurious and premier versions generally cost more than the original or basic mattress prices which are listed.

How do I know the correct mattress firmness?

Medium firm is always the most sought-after mattress and that’s the reason why most flagship mattresses fall within a range of 7 on the firmness scale (10 is the degree of firmness).

However, mattresses are subjective. Comfort and firmness are based on many elements, including your weight, height, body shape as well as your sleeping style, temperature and whether or not you feel discomfort, like in your back or hips. This means that one individual’s experience on an mattress will be completely different to that of someone else; and whether you would prefer a more soft or firmer mattress will be up to you and your preferences.

(That’s why we employ various people to test our mattresses – and that’s why we read hundreds of reviews from our customers. Remember this when noting our ‘firmness gauge’, which ranges from 1 to 10, with 10 being the firmest . You might find a mattress to be slightly firmer or softer than what we’ve observed.) But, there’s general advice to consider what degree of mattress firmness are most comfortable with…

1. Think about your preferred sleeping position. Back sleepers often prefer a mattress that is medium-firm. This provides the best of both and provides a neutral spine alignment while supporting the hips and shoulders however, without placing too excessive pressure on the shoulders and hips. If your mattress feels too firm, back sleepers could find their spine developing an uncomfortable ‘U’ shape, which creates strain. If it’s too hard and firm, the natural curve of ‘S’ of your spine will not be properly supported.

Side sleepers require pressure relief in their shoulders and hips, and for their body’s contours to be supported. A mattress that is medium to medium soft is usually the best choice. If it’s too soft however the spine will not be aligned well with shoulders and hips. Memory foam is often the ideal mattress for those who sleep on their sides because of its superior features for contouring.

Front sleepers tend to fare better on a mattress that is firmer. This helps lift the hips upwards, ensuring they’re aligned with the spine, and prevents the spine from forming a ‘U’ shape. If it’s too rigid it can be uncomfortable especially for women, and won’t allow the spine to curve naturally. If it’s too soft, you’ll appear to be suffocating. Innerspring and hybrid mattresses can be better choices than foam for front sleepers.

Combination sleepers must select in accordance with their preferred sleeping position (the place you usually rest in). If you don’t already have one, an average firm mattress can provide the most comfort and support across all sleeping positions.

2. Take into consideration your body weight. Sleepers with a weight of less than 130lbs aren’t able to sink as deeply into a mattress and can be a good fit for softer mattresses due to this. They’re between 2 and 4 on the scale of firmness. But a mattress that is medium-firm could also be a great choice.

A person who weighs between 130 and 230lbs is typically better suited to medium or medium-firm mattresses, between 7 and 7 on the firmness scale.

The heavier sleepers who weigh over 230lbs can be well-suited to mattress that are firmer, with an 8-10 rating, which keeps them from sinking down through the different levels of comfort.

3. Take advantage of the risk-free trial to sleep. It can take up to 3 weeks to allow your body to adjust to the new mattress. That’s especially true if your mattress was not supporting your body properly, so don’t assume that when you first feel sore, the reason isn’t right – it could be your body adjusting to more support. The majority of mattress trials require a minimum of 21 days for exactly this reason.

In addition to how the mattresses feels like, there’s also a quick trick you can use to determine if it’s the right level of firmness for you. Lie down and place your hand on the back. of your back. If there’s a huge gap, it’s too firm and if there’s not a gaps, it’s too soft.

How long does it take to break in a new mattress?

This is contingent on the kind of mattress you’re buying and its firmness level, but generally speaking it can take anywhere between 30 and 3 months to become accustomed with the brand new level of comfort and support. It’s the reason why some mattress companies require you to rest on the new mattress for at minimum 30 nights before they’ll arrange a collection in the event that you aren’t happy with it.

If you’re considering a different mattress than the one you have previously owned – for example, you previously slept on an all-foam model but you’re now looking at an hybrid mattress, you will notice the difference for a little time. To help you break in the new bed, make sure you allow it the time needed to fully decompress. If you do this, the mattress will be able to offer the best comfort and support right from the start. It could take from a few hours up to 72 hours for this process to happen, so be patient.

Take a break and relax on different areas of your new mattress (so don’t just lounge in the same place) and keep sleeping on it in order to help it “bed in” faster. Try to resist sleeping in another mattress (if you already have the option)) or on the sofa, since the faster you break in your mattress, the faster you will be enjoying every moment you sleep in it.

What’s the best mattress for 2021?

We still think the Nectar Memory Foam is the top mattress to buy because it’s a fantastic value for the money. It’s incredibly comfortable and supportive, and extremely competitively priced. The typical price for a queen-sized bed is $799, which is a reduction from $1,198 – and all sizes are available for sale at Nectar with a permanent 400 percent discount and $399 of accessories for free. That’s incredible value for the price. However it’s also a great deal when you consider that Nectar Memory Foam also comes with a 365-night trial and a forever warranty. Also, the return policy is clear and fair.

In addition, if you have an extra amount to spend or want a mattress with a little more bounce, we suggest the premium hybrid innerspring Saatva Classic mattress. It’s priced at around $1300 for a queen bed – although it’s typically a $200 discount to be found If you’re looking to get the best hotel comfort then this is the best mattress. It’s also endorsed through the American Chiropractic Association, making it a great option for those suffering from back pain.

Another perk to buying from Saatva is the brand’s free White Glove delivery service. It’s a part of the service Saatva’s expert team, their experts will set up your new mattress in the preferred bedroom, and remove the old mattress if you arrange it in advance.

So , if you’re looking to get the best value for money, choose the Nectar. If you’re looking to indulge in a luxury hotel and have more money to spend, give the Saatva an opportunity. Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Helix bed mattress is a personalized or tailored service to your sleep problems arising from improper bed linen. Every individual has a particular sleeping design. Some people sleep well on their back, laying directly on the bed and looking up. Some individuals sleep well on their side. Some people use up quaint postures to make themselves comfy. If people do not have the exact same technique to sleeping or the very same sleeping posture and definitely not the exact same sleeping pattern, be it time of the night or period, then a single bed mattress or particularly a standardized mattress might not be suited for any and sundry. When you consider this truth, Helix bed mattress appears to be the only reasonable choice. It is a bed mattress that is made specifically for you and your partner, to match your requirements and to make sure that you and your partner have fantastic satiating sleep every night. Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

The Approach to Personalization of Helix Mattress

Helix mattress needs its consumers to take a Sleep Quiz. This is more of a questionnaire that assists the sleep professionals and engineers at Helix to understand your requirements. This Sleep Quiz takes 2 to 3 minutes. Helix treats sleep as science and the mattress as a piece of development, which is not very different from how competing brand names like Casper, Leesa, Purple or Nectar approach their own bed mattress. When the quiz is taken, Helix sleep specialists and engineers work on the style, material and every physical attribute of the bed mattress that will match the needs of the specific person or couple who had taken the quiz. This process is called the Helix Sleep System by the business. The company takes a few days to create and manufacture the personalized Helix mattress. The bed mattress is manufactured in US based factories and it eventually gets shipped within ten business days. You would get free shipping anywhere within the US. In most cases, the tailored Helix bed mattress is delivered within ten company days.

Attributes of Helix Mattress

The most notable attribute of Helix mattress is its ability to truly understand the sleeper. The test assists in the process. There is the normal protector for the mattress to prevent wear & tear and to protect the bed mattress from spills and dirt. The personalization is truly worthwhile because the designers, sleep specialists and engineers don’t simply develop basic features throughout the whole mattress when there is a couple with different preferences. They come up with unique attributes for each half or side of the mattress. This addresses the requirements of a couple that has various sleeping patterns, postures and choices or needs.

The most valuable benefit of Helix bed mattress is the fact that one can in fact get rid of all the sleeping problems that a person has actually been coping with for many years. It must be noted that a lot of sleeping problems for healthy individuals occur from some quality or the other of the bed or the mattress. People who require softer mattress will have back pain if they sleep on a firmer bed mattress. Individuals who have hypertension may not find it very comfortable with memory foam bed mattress however can always select memory foal gel mattress with very large cells that would not trap the temperature and facilitate a cooler sleep. When one takes the test and expresses every requirement, possibilities are extremely high that the Helix bed mattress will be exactly what the person requires and hence the possibilities of back pain, sprain, knee pain or any sort of pain in any joint will be seriously minimized. Helix Nightfall Mattress Review

Helix Mattress Vs Competitors

As you check out Helix reviews, a couple of facts will become apparent in no time. Helix bed mattress is pricier than the majority of other mattresses. This is easy to understand offered it is customized. Many other brand names do not make customized bed mattress. The service warranty and lifespan or resilience of Helix bed mattress could be much better. If you check out customer Helix bed mattress examines on Amazon and other sites then you would recognize that movement seclusion and heating problems are not problems that you should worry about when you buy a Helix bed mattress however you do need to understand the kind of mattress you need. At the end of the day, the style and engineering of the mattress will be according to exactly what you express so your options are the key.

It is hard to compare Helix bed mattress with its competitors such as Casper, Leesa or Purple because they are basic and Helix is a tailored mattress. Helix is thinner than a lot of bed mattress at ten inches. That is a standard function. It will have four layers, which is more or less exactly what most other brands choose. Instead of memory foam, Helix bed mattress has micro-coils. There are 2 more layers of poly foam and base foam respectively. The upper layer is vibrant foam. The leading layer is 2 inches, so is the 3rd layer which is of poly foam. Base foam is 4 inches and the 2nd layer from top is a little bit more than two inches.

The most significant highlight of Helix Vs Casper is the cost. Every size has a rate difference of $50 to $100. Assessing Helix Vs Leesa will lead you to infer that the latter offers better quality sleep but it is less resilient than the previous. Helix Vs Purple will draw you to the upper cover of the latter that is even more comfy but the former has the power of personalization. Customization will constantly weigh heavy in favor of Helix mattress reviews.

Helix Mattress Vs Nectar Mattress

Nectar mattress is gentle yet firm, it has a combined cover of cotton and tencel, the density is eleven inches and it weighs anywhere from 45 lbs to 89 pounds depending upon the size. Nectar utilizes a layer of 1 inch gel memory foam, the 2nd layer is 3 inch memory foam, the 3rd layer is 1.75 inch memory foam and then a 5.25 inches support foam layer at the base. The tiniest size of Nectar mattress sells for $500 and California King costs $900. There is totally free shipping and an entire year or 365 nights of trial. There is life time guarantee and you can quickly conserve more than $100 on every size. That is not the type of saving you can get with Helix mattress coupon. Helix has only ten years warranty, it is firmer and thinner, the cover is polyester and the weight varies from 40 lbs to 100 pounds. The price is much higher from $600 to $1195. The trial period is for just a hundred nights.

Helix Mattress Firmness and Feel

You may have noticed that stiffness has already been discussed throughout this article. That’s because one of the most crucial elements to consider when purchasing a new mattress is the firmness (and how firmness affects comfort). These elements will reveal the mattress’s suitability for your chosen sleep location (s). Let’s take a closer look at the quality and firmness that comes with the Helix mattress collection.

What Is the Firmness of Helix Mattresses?

The Helix mattresses are available in a wide range of options, with the most soft being moderately soft and the most firm ones being moderately firm. Helix Sunset Helix Sunset is on the soft side of the spectrum and we gave it a hardness rating that was 5.5 out of 10 on the scale of firmness. (A 6.5/10 is considered to be an standard industry norm for moderate firmness.) Its Helix Midnight is next, and we gave it a score of 6/10, which means it’s still more soft than the norm. It’s softer than the Helix Midnight as well as the Helix Dusk fall somewhere between the spectrum. Both of these mattresses received a rating of around 7/10, which is a bit firmer than normal. The Helix Twilight as well as the Helix Dawn are at the harder end of the spectrum, with both receiving a 7.5/10 assessment (firmer than the average).

It is important to remember that the level of hardness is a matter of individual preference. When it comes to the firmness, you could evaluate these mattresses in different ways based on your body weight and your personal preferences. People who are heavier, for instance might find them more firm because they are able to press further into the mattress and get to the support layers. Meanwhile, lighter people may find that these mattresses are softer since they are higher within the comfortable layer each bed(s).

Sleeping on the Helix Mattresses

We slept on the Helix beds for an long period in order to get an idea of what it’s like to sleep on each model in various positions. Have a look at what we discovered!

Helix Sunset Mattress

Helix Nightfall Mattress ReviewBecause of its softness, due to its softness, the Helix Sunset wasn’t comfortable enough to be a good back sleeper. Our hips were a bit too deeply down into our mattress causing the spine to shift.

While the Helix Sunset’s softness isn’t the best for back sleepers It’s perfect for those who prefer to sleep sideways. We were very at ease in this position due to the soft mattress cushioned possible tension points in the hip and shoulder. It’s actually one of the best mattresses to relieve hip discomfort that we’ve come across.

It is apparent that the Helix Sunset is not supportive enough for stomach-sleeping due it is soft. Our hips were too deep into the mattress which pulled our back out of position, exactly like they did when we were sleeping back to back.

Helix Moonlight Mattress

helix-moonlightAs a back sleeper while sleeping, it was apparent that the Helix Moonlight was adequate but not extraordinary. If you’re planning to sleep in this position for the entire through the night, you’ll want a firmer mattress with more support and assists in maintaining the proper alignment of your spine.

The Helix Moonlight is an excellent option for sleeping on the side due to its softness. We didn’t feel any uncomfortable pressure around the hips or shoulders.

The Helix Moonlight, like the Helix Sunset, isn’t adequate for stomach-sleeping. Our hips sank too deeply into the mattress, causing the spine to misalign.

Helix Midnight Mattress

Helix Midnight Luxe FeatureWhile resting upon the Helix Midnight We felt amazing. We enjoyed a touch of pressure relief, but without losing spinal alignment , thanks to the mattress’s good balance of support and comfort. It’s the best mattress for back sleepers on this list.

Despite the fact that the Helix Midnight is firmer than it’s counterparts, the Helix Sunset or Moonlight We found it pleasant to sleep on our backs on this mattress. It is a good pressure-relief mattress around the shoulder and hip in our opinion.

As we lay on our stomachs in the Helix Midnight, we felt good , but not fantastic. Sleepers who are in this posture throughout the night should consider a firmer mattress that provides greater spinal support.

Helix Dusk Mattress

helix-duskIt’s the Helix Dusk is more supportive than other models that we’ve tested. This could be the reason we felt so comfortable while lying in our backs. We’re confident that we’ll have good spinal alignment throughout the night because of the mattress’s suppleness.

It’s probably not surprising it is that Helix Dusk feels a little too soft for sleeping on your side since we’ve shifted to the firmer end of the spectrum. We noticed some pressure on the hip and shoulder that would cause discomfort if you sleep in this position for a long time.

The Helix Dusk should suit stomach sleepers who weigh around average since it can help to maintain a healthy spine alignment. However, stomach sleepers who are heavier might not get sufficient support in this model.

Helix Twilight Mattress

helix-twilightThe Helix Twilight was proved to be the best mattress for back discomfort. It’s the ideal mattress for back sleepers who require extra support due to increased weight or back pain, as well as other reasons. The firmer structure of this mattress helps in keeping the hips lifted and in alignment to the spinal column.

Since this mattress Helix Twilight is more firm than the average mattress It was difficult to lay on our backs on this mattress. We felt like we were suffocated on the shoulders and hips.

Most stomach sleepers should find the Helix Twilight to be a good one, as the mattress’ hardness should offer enough support to the spine in this position.

Helix Dawn Mattress

helix-dawnBack sleepers who prefer mattresses that are firm will appreciate the high degree of support. However, those who prefer some pressure relief when lying back could find this mattress to be excessively firm.

It’s the Helix Dawn is far too difficult to sleep on side, and you’ll end up with lots of pressure points around your hips and shoulders. A softer model will be considerably better for sleepers who prefer side sleeping.

What Do the Helix Mattresses Feel Like?

Helix mattresses have a hybrid design that incorporates foam over coils. However, despite these similarities however, each model has its own distinctive character.

The Helix Sunset offers a soft top and a well-balanced foam feel. The soft comfort layer allows sleepers to sink in and provides the mattress with a slow-moving feel.

The Helix Moonlight, despite its softness, has a bouncy feeling, particularly when compared with the Sunset that is more sensitive.

The Helix Midnight similar to the Helix Sunset, offers a balanced feel and a smooth top layer that moves slowly. The Midnight is more firm than the Sunset and allows sleepers to sink further into the top layer.

The Helix Dusk is solid and lively. This is due to the use of active foam for the layer on top and coils in the support layer.

It is similar to the Helix Twilight, like the Helix Sunset and Midnight, has a more sluggish top. This is still a firm mattress with the comfort layer being slightly more comfortable.

The Helix Dawn, like the Helix Dusk, has a soft, firm and bouncy feel it because of the use of foam that is dynamic (in the cushion layer) as well as coils (in the support layer).

Average Weight Sleepers – 130 lbs – 230 lbs

The Helix Midnight (which combines spinal support and pressure reduction) or the Helix Dusk are likely to be preferred by average-weight back sleepers (which provides a more firmer spine support).

The Helix Midnight (if your preference is a more firm feeling) or the softer and more pressure-reducing Helix Moonlight (or Sunset) is most probable for people who are average-weight side sleepers.

For stomach sleepers, those with a moderate weight should choose the supportive Helix Twilight or Dawn.

Heavyweight Sleepers – Over 230lbs

The Helix Dusk should provide appropriate support for heavyweight back sleepers because it eases pressure while maintaining the alignment of the spine.

The softest models in the Helix range, like Helix Moonlight or Helix Moonlight or Helix Sunset are likely to provide adequate pressure relief for heavy-weight side sleepers.

Heavyweight stomach sleepers however tend to go to the Helix Dawn (the firmest mattress of the range) to ensure proper spinal support.

Lightweight Sleepers – Under 130lbs

There should be a variety of models for light back sleepers. For instance, the Helix Moonlight, Midnight, and Dusk all have lots of support for the spine and various degrees of pressure relief to suit various sleeping styles.

In the same way, side sleepers who are light can select from Helix Midnight, Moonlight, or Sunset and should provide adequate pressure relief while allowing users to customize the level of hardness to suit their preferences.

Finally, stomach sleepers will find Helix Twilight or Dawn to be the most supportive. Helix Twilight, or Dawn as the most supportive.

Helix Mattresses Construction

In terms of construction, all the Helix mattresses are constructed the same manner: They all have the same cover, and the same foam comfort layers are layered above individual the coils to support them.

Every Helix mattresses, and in particular they have a SoftTouch Design cover that is soft, elastic, and breathable. The design lets air circulate freely through the mattress’s top. Meanwhile, each Helix model is equipped with an additional layer of support made of individually wrapped coils stacked over a dense base foam which gives the mattress its overall structure and support.

The similarities stop there for the most part. The comfort layers of these mattresses differ in their density, stiffness, placement and kinds of foam. Other materials are offered on certain versions. Let’s take a look at it more closely!.

Helix Sunset

Its cushion of comfort is comprised of pressure-reducing Memory Plus Foam, which gives you the slow-moving feeling that memory foam is known for. A layer of transition made up from Helix Dynamic foam, a latex-foam substitute that’s a bit firmer, bouncier, and more supportive, is placed under the Memory Plus Foam.

Helix Moonlight

The Helix Sunset’s comfort layer is made out of Memory Plus Foam, the Helix Midnight’s comfort layer and the transition layer are made from Helix’s Dynamic Foam. This is yet another latex-foam choice with multiple layers of this dynamic foam gives it a buoyant feel when compared with the Helix Sunset.

Helix Midnight

Memory Plus Foam is the main comfort layer in the Helix Midnight, and it offers pressure reduction as well as body shaping. A transition layer of dense high-quality polyfoam is placed beneath it. Memory Plus Foam. This layer is very responsive, which means that the mattress as a whole responds more quickly to pressure.

Helix Dusk

The Helix Dusk’s primary comfort layer is made up out of Helix Dynamic Foam, a latex-foam replacement that’s soft and responsive. A layer comprised of Memory Plus Foam sits beneath the Memory Plus Foam layer. (Think of Dusk’s design as being identical to that in the Helix Sunset, but reversed.) Helix Dynamic Foam is placed on top of Memory Plus Foam to create a bouncy, responsive surface, while Memory Plus Foam provides pressure relief as sleepers sink into the mattress.

Helix Twilight

The Helix Twilight, like the Helix Midnight, has a slow-moving Memory Plus Foam layer above the dense, high-quality polyfoam transition layer. This Memory Plus Foam adds some convenience, but don’t get deceived by this being a mattress that is firm with very less give.

Helix Dawn

Last but not least The Helix Dawn comes with the Helix dynamic foam comfort layer that is layered over a thick, high-quality polyfoam layer transition layer. The result is an extremely firm, bouncey, and comfortable sleep surface with very little bounce.

Helix Mattresses Performance

We tested the Helix mattress through a series of tests to see how well they performed in key areas including temperature control and motion transfer, edge support and much many more. Continue reading to find out the results!

Sleeping Hot or Cold

Are you sleeping hot or cold? If you’re worried about your mattress being too hot, you might want to consider buying a LUXE version of any mattress.

Motion Transfer

Based on our testing, some models outperform others in minimizing disturbances over the mattress’s surface. For instance, the Helix Sunset, Midnight, and Twilight provided the best motion-isolating. It’s due they have a memory foam that is slower moving at the top of all of these models, which does great job at absorbing motion. These are among the best mattresses for couples that are available on the market.

Edge Support

Each Helix mattress had good edge support throughout the range. When we sat and slept on the edges of each mattress, we felt secure.

Durability

The Helix mattresses are constructed with strong coils and high-density foams which ensure that they can endure a long time.

Off-Gassing

We noticed the off-gassing of the six Helix mattresses initially. This will go away within a couple of days in the event that it is not earlier.

Noise

We didn’t notice any noticeable sound when moving around on one of these mattresses at the time of our review. But, since all of them have coils, it’s probable that they’ll start to sound squeaky as time passes.

Sex

When looking for a sex mattress, most people are concerned about how simple it will be to shift places on their mattress. Because all of the Helix mattresses are made of coils, they should be sufficient to allow you to move around with ease on each. The models with memory foam on their top layers (particularly Helix Sunset, Midnight and Twilight) Helix Sunset, Midnight, and Twilight) might make changing positions more difficult due to their slower movement.

Information on the Warranty

A 100-night sleep trial and 10 years of mattress warranty are provided in every Helix mattress.
